Welcome to my website introducing
my counselling and psychotherapy practice,
located at Sutton Cross Family Practice, Dublin 13.

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist, and my training includes a BA (Hons) Psychology, MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Master Practitioner Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Diploma in Personal and Business Coaching.
I believe that our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing are interconnected and working one to one with individual clients using this holistic approach, can help to facilitate understanding the source of our fears, unhappiness, discomfort and unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns. I offer a safe and supportive space tailored to meet your unique needs.

Counselling and psychotherapy is a collaborative, talk-based therapeutic process that supports individuals in understanding and addressing psychological and emotional difficulties, offering a safe space to openly explore patterns of thought, feeling, and behaviour that may be holding you back or causing pain.
Psychotherapy is suitable for anyone seeking greater self-awareness, relief from distress, or support during times of transition. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit. Many clients come to therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — and want to live more fully, with clarity and emotional freedom.
Hypnotherapy is a natural, nurturing state of calm focus, similar to those daydream moments where the mind is both relaxed and open. In therapy, this relaxed window allows us to bypass our critical factor and access the subconscious or unconscious mind—where your beliefs, emotions and behaviours’ live—and gently reframe them for growth. You stay fully aware and in control throughout.

Emphasises the individual’s potential for growth, self-discovery and fulfilment.
Explores the influence of unconscious mental processes, past experiences and internal conflict.
Identifying and transforming unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours.
Highlighting strengths and creating achievable goals for positive change.
When appropriate, using relaxation and visualisation techniques to access deeper levels of awareness and promote healing.

Modern life places intense demands on our time, energy, and emotional resources. Persistent stress can lead to burnout, irritability, sleep problems, and even physical illness. In therapy, we explore the causes of stress — whether work-related, family-driven, or internalised — and build strategies for emotional regulation, boundary-setting, time management, and self-care. My aim is to help you reconnect with balance and create sustainable change.

Anxiety is a normal emotion, but when it becomes excessive, constant, or overwhelming, it can impact every aspect of life. You may experience racing thoughts, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, or physical symptoms like breathlessness and tension. I work with generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, performance anxiety, and panic attacks. Together we identify triggers, explore underlying fears, and develop practical tools to reduce anxiety and build confidence.

Depression can feel like an invisible weight that makes even simple tasks feel exhausting. It can affect your motivation, sleep, appetite, self-worth, and relationships. You may feel numb, hopeless, or stuck in negative cycles of thought. Therapy offers a safe space to gently explore the emotional, situational, and relational factors contributing to your low mood. We work together to reconnect you with meaning, purpose, and hope.

Grief is a natural but deeply personal experience. Whether you’re coping with the death of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, or another form of life transition, therapy can support you in processing your emotions. There is no ‘right way’ to grieve — I offer a non-judgemental environment where you can express your sorrow, navigate complicated feelings, and begin to integrate your loss into a renewed sense of life.

Experiences of trauma — whether from childhood abuse, accidents, medical procedures, violence, or neglect — can leave lasting emotional scars. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, or difficulties trusting others. I work sensitively with trauma survivors to build emotional safety, process traumatic memories, and reduce their impact on daily functioning.

We are shaped by our relationships — and sometimes our greatest emotional pain arises from them. Whether you’re struggling with conflict, communication breakdown, co-dependency, or fear of abandonment, therapy can help you explore how early attachment patterns influence your adult relationships. Together, we work on developing assertiveness, boundaries, empathy, and the ability to form healthier, more fulfilling connections.

Low self-worth often stems from early experiences where we internalised negative messages. This can manifest as perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic self-doubt, or fear of failure. In therapy, we work to uncover and challenge these beliefs, helping you develop a more compassionate inner voice and a stronger sense of identity.

Periods of change — such as parenthood, job changes, menopause, relocation, retirement, or identity exploration — can bring uncertainty and emotional upheaval. Therapy offers space to reflect, realign with your values, and rediscover your direction. I also work with individuals exploring questions of identity, meaning, and belonging, whether due to cultural shifts, personal growth, or spiritual seeking.
